Added waist shaping, negative ease, altered decreases at yoke
I’m messing about a bit with this pattern. I loved the fit of the Owls jumper (by Kate Davies) and wanted to re-create that, but using this lovely wool from Drops and the yoke pattern from this jumper.

Also I prefer to knit on 2 needles so I made the front, back and sleeves to the point at which they have to be joined, then switched to circular pins for the yoke.

I added waist shaping at the outside edges, and I used a size to give me an inch or so of negative ease. When it came to decreasing the yoke, I reduced the number of stitches by about one fifth, five times. I did one decrease row before the pattern, then 4 after where the two colours are striped. Worked well, you can’t see the decreasing which is what I wanted.

The pattern - my daughter says it’s olives. Love olives so that suits me fine!
