I’m quite tall but still did the smaller size, then added length to the sleeves by dec every 4th row instead of every 3rd for the sleeve.
If I knitted it again I would have done a provisional cast on for the neck - you pick up all the stitches when you do the neck rib.
The wool I chose it at the edge of bounciness v drape - you’re creating a lot of fabric for this, so drape is a good thing - if I had my time again I think I’d go for 2 strands of Drops alpaca 4-ply, to make a fine DK weight wool. As it is, I used Drops Lima, and it’s worked well but is almost too bouncy a yarn for this pattern.
Have rated the pattern as medium hard because of the volume of stitches you’re working with. It’s not a complicated pattern, but also not necessarily for the faint hearted as you end up with hundreds of stitches at the widest point, and it might be daunting for a beginner.
Knitted in a single strand of DK weight and used almost exactly 16 balls = 1425m.
Thoughts on this pattern
Loving the new Scandi drama The Legacy, but was a bit distracted by the poncho jumper in episode 1. So decided to knit one while I’m watching. Liking it so far although already have so many stitches I’ve had to go up to a longer needle cord thing.
Hurray, finished, and love it!
I love this jumper, and have had a lot of compliments on it. I’ve worn it pretty well non-stop. And I do feel I have to speak Danish when I’m wearing it. Shame I only know how to say Hi hi!
The hat is Eppleby, and also shown with camera cowl. The dog is Archie the fur baby!
