7/29/2014 - Anita C. won this at the work auction for $35 (although she whispered to me she was willing to go as high as $45). She loved it, kept raving about the colors, and coincidentally, it looked great with what she was wearing!

Definitely ran into the reason you don’t use the cheap beads - I had soooo many with irregular/small holes. Grrr… And when you’re up to 66+ beads across for some rows, you don’t want to fiddle with ones that don’t cooperate!

Very happy with the color combination. Between the slightly shiny blue-gray Rainwater yarn, and the gun metal blue-gray beads, it almost looks like decorative chain mail armor.

This is the second of the two shawls I’m planning to donate to the work auction to raise money for staff events. Here’s hoping it brings in more than $23 dollars, or whatever the yarn + beads cost!

As usual, Boo Knits’ patterns are always pleasant, and most rows were an easy to memorize repetition. Thanks to suggestions from other Ravelry users, went all out chart reading rather than written instructions, and it got really easy. There’s a book on chart reading that was suggested, plus I’ve worked through a few very helpful Craftsy classes….really made the pattern fly!
