this pattern is gorgeously constructed, but the clarity in the english version leaves a lot to be desired, especially given that it’s a $9 pattern. still, I’m enjoying working it up, and it’s quite simple once past the collar/underarm section of the top.
using numbers for a 52”, gauge of 7.25sts/in. worked yoke band and back parts as instructed; on front, increased to 13 sts in stockinette between each eyelet pattern column. joined when the front measured 3” from band (back measured 5”), for a much shallower armhole.
worked even for a few inches, then decreased away extra sts on the front, then decreased a few more on both front and back to 7 sts between each eyelet pattern column. increased back to 9 on the front for belly coverage, then to 11 on front and 9 on the back for hips. finished length is only about 15” from underarm; since the yarn is mostly cotton, I expect this to grow with wear, which is fine.
I used WAY less yardage than the pattern called for; not sure if it was my gauge or my modifications (though I added as much fabric in the bust and hips as I removed at the waist), but larger sizes may want to purchase their yarn carefully so as not to end up with quite so much extra.
I need to get a few plain tank tops to wear under it (or it’ll look cute over a t-shirt), but I don’t know that I’ll bother on ultra-hot days. it is a little revealing, but I’ll be damned if I care at 100+ degrees if people can see my bra or not.
