3/28: pattern now available!

if you knit this yourself I recommend NOT using a tubular cast on for the bottom edges and a tubular cast off for the bands, as I did, because you will drive yourself CRAZY. (I was already crazy, clearly.)

knitting this thing is terrifying. I don’t know what I’m doing.

but at the end I get to CUT IT OPEN :D

also I have apparently lost a large amount of weight.

1 Feb: I was concerned about having enough of the grey, but I managed to get through the lower body without breaking into the second skein (though there’s only about a yard left on the first!) so hopefully it’ll be okay. we’ll see!

10 Feb: don’t even want to talk about the 20,000 stitches that I just frogged all because I didn’t bother to think things through. don’t. even.

16 Feb: you can watch me steek my sweater here!

25 Feb: I don’t think I have ever taken this long to knit a sweater, ugh. but it’s DONE! still need to decide on a treatment for the steek facings---I can either tack them down as-is or sew a ribbon over them. still, it’s not urgent.

I am reminded of how little I like raglans on me, though---I have too much chest and not enough shoulders to make them fit properly. ah well. they suit most people just fine!
