already done: stockinette tab cast-on, picked up six stitches to do five repeats of the chart plus mirrored the first part of the repeat to make it all symmetrical.

shifting the beginning of round over is wacky when there’s no round. it helped to think of it as just balancing out the decreases, rather than trying to figure out how to get a stitch from one side of the shawl to the other.

using nintu’s revision chart, to prevent binding in the last leaf section. please note that while the symbol key in her chart says the seven Vs in row 107 should be purl, yo, purl in the same stitch, the same symbol is kfb in the original chart and doing the former will throw off your stitch count; 109 will not line up. do the kfb. :)

switched to 3.75mm needles on round 113 to help prevent binding in the edge. it helped but not completely, the frames around the blossoms were still a little tight. not blocking aggressively helped too.
