New yarn for too has no numbers for colour or dye lot. AND has a factory knot a couple of feet from the inside end.

There was a second factory knot towards the end; it I cut out. As I neared the end of the Alize yarn - working it helix-wise with the new yarn, that small ball came in handy. I spliced it onto the tail of the Alize yarn and used it alone for the rest of the crown, cutting the big ball of yellow yarn free.
