Notes

1800 hrs.
Yet another kit from Temu.
This time, the hook provided is 2.5mm!

I brought all four previous iterations with me to Knitting Meeting this morning, and asked Ginette to help me decide which felt better. The one made with a 5.0mm hook won. So, that’s what I’m using this time.

1100 hrs.
The first ball of white ran out at seven-tenths of Round 13 (counting the initial round of trebles as two rounds).

September 9, 2025

0030 hrs.
The second ball of white just went a few stitches past the end of the 18th round.

September 10, 2025

0950 hrs.
22 rounds of white with a couple of yards leftover.

Well, again there wasn’t enough green. Using both ends of the ball I had used to complete the coaster https://www.ravelry.com/projects/JessicaJean/rose-blanket-4
** doubled** for just the last pair of leaves.

So, all the red yarns seem to be much thinner than either the white or green used so far!

Leave it flowerless? Or use the red doubled?
I’m trying doubled.

0510 hrs.
This red yarn is really too thin, so it’s doubled for the rosebuds and single strand for the sc between buds. No cutting, as I carry/work over the extra strand while doing the single crochets.

1220 hrs.
It’s done! I’m very happy with the ‘flowers’, because they don’t flop loosely about, and - even changing between a single strand for the six single crochets and double strand for the flower buds - was far faster than the bigger flowers on the first couple.
