Been dying to try out my own BFL base and this project has always been on my mind. Thanks to Mel’s powers of enabling! I overdyed two existing skeins of this yarn and liked what I ended up with so I am re-purposing them.

7 Mar 2012: Cast on! A little fiddly at first and took me a few rows to get the hang of the pattern. I tried a YO on the colour change as suggested by a few people knitting Color Affection but it looked clumsy so I’m just holding the yarn loosely at the colour change. I like this colour combination so far.

22 Aug 2012: Took this out of deep hibernation. Mel’s recently completed Katriel has prompted me to take action on my own version.

25 Aug 2012: Nearly there. Started the picot bind off last night while waiting for our table at The Cheesecake Factory (first outlet in Dubai so the queue for dinner is unbelievably long, 2 to 3 hours long to be precise). Will aim to finish it off tonight, soak and block for a photo shoot over the next couple of days.
