1 Nov 09: Cast on for NaKniSunSweMo (that’s National Knit a Sundara Sweater Month) along with the Sundara Yarn Love group. Thanks to rivki for help with the knitting math!

2 Dec 09: I separated for the sleeves last night on the way home. Tried it on and it fits alright despite looking really large on the needles! Almost 80% into the second skein so I think I’m safe with the other 3.

22 Dec 09: Done about 6.5” of the body, knitting a few rows at a time when I can. It fits well, but I think the sleeves might need some adjustment as they might be too loose.

18 Jan 2010: Done with the body, now doing the sleeves.

25 Jan 10: Nearly there, just a few more rows on the left sleeve and then it’s going to take a bath.

26 Jan 10: Curses!!!! 12 rows of garter stitch left and I ran out of yarn!

ETA: The lovely Sundara has agreed to dye a batch of the yarn for me! Yay! Thanks so much!

6 Mar 2010: FINISHED! Did the last few rows of the second sleeve, sewed on the buttons and soaked the cardigan overnight. Blocked out a bit to stretch the body and left to dry….FOR THREE DAYS AND NIGHTS!

The great news is that I can wear this when I fly to Manila to see my kids on the 13th March. Yay!
