Following the February Ladies Sweater class, where we knit it in the round with a steek, I decided to do this sweater in the round, with a steek.

Discovered I added the steek stitches too soon in the pattern should have waited until later (will fill in details when later once I find my notes).

Cut steek during Knitters Review Retreat November 2010. Just needed to knit sleeves at that point.

Now, Feb 13, 2011, I have the sleeves to a good length, but I’ve not gotten all the stitches decreased according to the pattern. So I need to take the sleeves off the needles (run a life line), and try on the sweater, see if the width of the sleeves are OK or not. If they are too wide, I’ll need to rip back to the underarm, and re-calculate the decreased, to get it down to the right number of stitches before finishing off with the ribbing at the bottom of the sleeves.

THEN, will just need to pick up the neckline and knit it, block it and it will be all done!

5/1/2011 - I finished knitting the sleeves, starting now to pick up stitches for neckline. CO for the collar, but having some issues, so came online to check Rav for errata.

5/4/2011 - Worked with Judy on sleeve length - got the sleeves to the right length by leaving a couple of yards of yarn after casting off, but didn’t need to use it, sleeve length was just fine.

Blocked only the cables, but I think the sweater would be better off with a full wet blocking, as I think the yarn needs to full out a little bit. So I’ll likely do a full wet blocking, and hopefully remember to take new pictures.
