This cherry blossom tree represents my hope for spring to come.

Cherry blossoms are special to me because friends threw them at us as we excited the church after our wedding.

I wove this without a cartoon. Used a technique I once learned in art class long ago as a teen to make the tree trunk look more three dimensional by adding curved lines to it.

I wove the tree without any blossoms with bare branches and added the blossoms with embroidery stitches. I on purpose tried to make them look as random as possible to give a feeling of the chaos of blooms.
