My beards don’t lie flat. I did find the last few rounds very confusing to follow so i probably got something wrong. It’s huge too. Yes I used 4ply not thread but still…..it’s at least 22 inches across!

As with the smowman there are some errors in the pattern i found -

R12 dc in next 4dc should be next 3dc

R28 “…dc, c in next 2 dc….” ?????

R30 “…inserting hook into same sp..” sp should be stitch.
