I didn’t use a pattern for this project. I just cast on 80 sts, worked about 1” of ribbing, switched to stockinette until 5”, then began decreases.

I used the mitered decrease (-2 sts) in 4 even spots around the crown.

Nicole is very much a pom-pom person, so I added one on last minute before shipping it out. She loves it and says it fits perfect!
