Notes

This shawl was frogged for many reasons:

  1. Problematic designer
  2. Problematic color scheme
  3. Because of 1 and 2, I never wore it.

MC1: Modern Fair Isle (white with barely any orange speckles)
MC2: Sandstorm (gray with light orange and pink variegations)
CC1: Marfa (white with lots of deep purple and orange speckles)
CC2: Citrus (variegated orange)

I tried using Marfa as MC1 with Sandstorm and Modern Fair Isle as the contrast colors, but I hated it. I didn’t even make it to the orange. So I frogged it and started the order above. I already like it much more.

Lots of knitting this week and I’m about halfway through the second eyelet section. I had to go back to few times after dropping a st and realizing my count was off, but now I’m back on track and ready to finish this shawl ASAP!

With Caitlin’s permission, I am going to try using my orange CC2 for the stockinette section before the ribbing border in MC1. I feel I need more orange in the project to bring it all together and that would be the best place to implement.

Finished! I changed my mind and decided to use the other CC for the stockinette section. Now I wish I had just used the white MC, but oh well. I’m not going back now!

Also, I’m not adding tassels to this project.
