22 Oct 19 Completed first pattern repeat.

11 Nov 19 Completed to armholes - 3.75 repeats.

26 Dec 19 Finished bodice of 3.25 rep then realised I had to work another 8 rows so that the diamonds matched properly, ie shoulder seam fell on White row between diamonds. Robert is quite long in the top and has a rounded back so the extra length will prevent it pulling up.
Kitchenered the shoulders together from Chart Row8 8 using two colours.

Body = 3.75 repeats
Bodice = 3.25 repeats

I knew I would run out of Highland Mist however I had purchased 2 skeins of Sky which was very close tonally just had a touch more green so from somewhere before the armholes I started using the Sky for 2 of the 3 rows requiring Highland Mist. This worked very well so I didn’t have to order and wait for more yarn.
Finished the shoulders, kitchenered in two colours and CUT THE STEEKS!!!

31/12/19 Finished the neck and arm bands. I worked as per chart then with Dark Navy worked 1 round SS (to avoid purl blips of the previous colour; turned work and worked 1 round SS and bound off. This gave a neat small rolled edge in blue which suited the overall tone of the vest. The cast on edge at the bottom is Black and if I were to work again I would start with the Dark Navy.
Machine sewed along 2nd stitch on steel and trimmed them back beside this stitch.
Weighed all remaining yarn and updated amounts remaining for reference.

Used Knit Companion the whole way, love it, especially the new scribble feature! I scanned and cropped the chart and added that with smart counters etc..
