When going through my stash to find yarn for another project (yet another CAL), I came across these blues that I had in mind for a blanket using Polly Plum’s Shiny Collection. And I remembered I’ve already purchased both of the eBooks.

So, it’s time for a challenge! After consulting the Shiny Color Layout document and my stash, I came up with the color scheme shown by the yarn pegs. The colors are:

• A - Citron
• B - Saffron
• C - Gold
• D - Cloud Blue
• E - Lapis
• F - Royal
• G - White
• H - Cream
• J - Midnight
• K - Midnight

So, my colors per round for Inara are:

1. G - White
2. G - White
3. C - Gold
4. B - Saffron
5. A - Citron
6. A - Citron
7. F - Royal
8. D - Cloud Blue
9. E - Lapis
10. D - Cloud Blue
11. H - Cream
12. J - Midnight (Polly suggests leaving this off until all 9 squares are done so that the stitch for this round can be adjusted to make them all close to the same size, so I’ll at least not weave my ends in.)

Inara will be my test to see if I like the color scheme and to get a sense of the size of the completed blanket. If I do like them then I’ll probably buy a whole bunch of Midnight to do the join and Serenity border.

I’ll call my blanket Can’t Stop the Signal.
