Notes

Jayda of Jayda InStitches does a Calendar Blanket CAL every year. This year’s is based on variations of the Mile-a-Minute pattern. There will be one strip released each month on the first Friday and they will be join-as-you-go.

12 60x3.5” strips
90 yds main, 80 yds border per strip

Need to consult my stash and find appropriate yarns.

January 16, 2021

Finished the first strip for January. I decided to use some Red Heart Comfort that I got on sale back in March. I’ll alternate the green and the blue for each strip and use the taupe for the join.

The yarn is not the softest -- it is very similar to Caron One Pound. Hopefully it will soften up after washing.

Note to self: each strip is 78 rows

November 3, 2021

I finished the October strip last night and will join it to the rest of the blanket tonight. Just in time for the November pattern to be released tomorrow.

December 11, 2021

All done. I like the simple block stitch border Jayda chose. I’ll wash it today and lay it on my bed to dry/block.
