Notes

I’ll use the Gatsby as the edging which is a nice color (and quite sparkly), but a bit thinner. If it’s too thin I’ll have enough of the Angora Merino to do it all in one color.

I have finished the increase section (to row 35). So far lovely, easy pattern. It’s a shape I really enjoy wearing too.

Up to row 76 now (of 198 in the body of the shawl) and I’m only 3/4 through my second ball of Sangria so I’ll have enough for certain.

March 11, 2019

Finished the body this morning and just started the border. I decided to go with the sparkle and it is coming out pretty so far.

Later in the day -- all finished other than blocking and sewing in the ends. I sent my notes off to Lori. I’m looking forward to wearing this though it’s considerably bigger than I expected, about 11” x 88” before blocking. It will be an out-walking shawl rather than a wear-to-work-to-dress-up-a-shirt shawl. I’m thinking I may make this again in fingering weight as well just to see how that looks.
