The central part is four blocks made up of four squares - 2 HSTs & 2 plain. Made the HSTs as solid grannies changing colour at the corners, catching to the other halfway in the last row (dark orange in the pic). Then the plains have been worked across & back using JAYG to the other square.

17-03-26 - should’ve done the extra squares to make rectangle on the other two sides to keep the stitches standing in the same direction as much as possible.
