An experiment - not resolved yet.
PATTERN - (English terms used - tr = US dc etc. Use ch to replace first st or standing st and end row by sl st to beg)
Row 1 - with yellow - chain in a ring, sl st. 8 x 1 tr, 1 ch. Break off.
Row 2 - with light orange - 2 tr into ch sp, 1 tr into tr. Rep to end. Break off.
Row 3 - with darker orange - (1 tr, 2 tr in next st) x 2, (2 tr in next) twice. Rep to end - 40 sts. Break off.
Row 4 - with blue - (substitute first ttr with 4 or more ch) 1 ttr, 1 tr into close to base of the ttr st, dtr into the same orange st, 3 ch, sk next 3 sts. Rep to end, do not break off.
Row 5 - join red to ch just to left of a blue group. Yo, draw a loop through first skipped orange st, draw through 2 loops. Rep for the next 2 skipped sts = 4 loops on hook. Draw thru 2 loops x 3. 6 ch. Rep from to end. Break off red.
Row 6 - with blue, work 2 dc into each blue st to end = 60 sts. I let the red ch loops just sit at the back.
Row 7 - to make square - work 1 dc in ea of next 8, 1 htr, 1 tr, 1 dtr, (1 dtr, 2 ch, 1 dtr) in next for corner, 1 dtr, 1 tr, 1 htr. Rep to end. Break off.
