The Louet yarn is listed as worsted, but seemed heavier than the Aran-weight juniper Moon yarn. Knit together on size 8 needles, they made a dense fabric. That threw the gauge off, but I still used the basic principle of the pattern to complete the hat just fine, and the thickness of the fabric makes the brim stand out without any fiddling with wire, just some steam blocking.
