I love this pattern and the finished garment. I love the teal color yarn by Cascade Yarns Ultra Pima Cotton. The yarn is easy to work with, gliding seamlessly through the fingers (I am a continental knitter).

The pattern called for the collar to be two pieces, not one continuous piece. I wanted a continuous collar, so I knit (with garment right-side out, not inside out) from the inside lower left neck edge, up to shoulder, around back of neck, and down the right should and neck. I used one size smaller needle for two rows, and then continued in the size I used for entire project for the remaining collar rows. Short rows are used for the last three rows before B/O, which I had worried about doing (since I’ve been knitting only 2 1/2 years), but, as you can see from the photos, all came out perfect.

One more thing: the armholes don’t need tidying up since each row begins with a Sl-1 (knitwise or purlwise). But I wanted the edging to appear stronger or something, so I used a crochet hook to finish off the armhole edges, just one row of crochet slip-stitch.

Will definitely use this pattern again.
