Notes

NOTE: the color appears different in the various photos due to the change of natural and unnatural (house lights) light.

Inspired by the Rio Wrap, I created my own design, if it can be considered “my own.” I chose a pattern from the Vogue Knitting Stitchionary: Volume One Knit & Purl, Page 193, Eyelet Links as the border for this mostly stockinette garment.

8/16/13 - project coming along nicely.

9/16/13 - @33” in length, which equals 9 pattern repeats - half way to completion.

10/1/13 - still at it. Becoming increasingly bored with all the stockinette knitting. But, the yarn is beautiful, and the finished poncho will be a wonderful addition to my hand-knit garments.

10/10/13 - OMG! What a drag, all this stockinette. About 50 inches into the project, which means I have (for my tiny frame) only another repeat or two to go before the project is ready for finishing.

10/11/13 - Done with the knitting part. Need to work a crochet border because even though blocking will eliminate some of the curling, the curled edges (unfortunately all four sides) will, I suspect, still curl a little. And I don’t do curled edges, not on this project.
