Notes

After completing the “Inspired by Etched Rio Wrap,” I thought: why not make this wrap/poncho in two pieces, and then sew them together. So, that is just what I did. Unlike “Etched Rio Wrap, this garment will be symmetrical; however, it can be worn off-center, if desired. On the non-design side of each piece is a garter stitch border. Bound off center stitches to give the neck opening more shape than otherwise, had I not bound off the center stitches.

Size: approx 18x36 inches

10/26/13 - working on piece #2

10/31/13 - juggling several projects, but making decent time on this project. Love, love, love, Noro’s Taiyo yarn. Smooth moving through the fingers, and soft against the flesh.

11/8/13 - Finished garment. I will ponder whether or not to add a crochet border. It might make more sense and look consistent with the garment to knit a garter stitch border around the entire hem…not sure how to go around corners. Off to YouTube.

11/8/13 - Single crochet around entire hem to prevent curling edges.
