The corner bookmark is a spin-off of the traditional bookmark only instead of slipping it into the book it hugs the pages.

I came up with the idea for this bookmark when I stumbled across a crochet bookmark for page corners. I crochet only a very little bit, but I really liked the idea. So, I played around with my sticks and string until I came up with a design that worked with knitting. Once I had the basic design mapped out, I began to include different embellishments, and stitch patterns. These are a few examples of what I ended up with.

This is another project that I prefer to knit using 5 inch double pointed knitting needles. I only use two needles and use them just like they are straights or (single points). One could use a rubber-band on one end of the needle as a stopper but I find it is not necessary since there are only a small number of stitches used through out the whole project.
