Based on the color palette found in The Sunny Sailor 9” Square Swap.

After putting some of my Sunny Sailor Swap squares together for a Baby Blanket I decided to make a blanket for my Dad out of similar colors. I had always intended for the Sunny Sailor to go to him, but I just never got around to it. Now, Dad’s in a nursing home, and I bet he would really like a nice blanket just for him.

This one has everything he loves: yellow, blue, sunshine, and sailing. He used to love his sailboat. He even lived on it for a time. Dad has Alzheimer’s, so it’s important to remember his favorites for him.

9” squares.

Used Navy to equalize with 31 sts between corner sts. (Should have been 32! ) I do it every time.
Added another sc round in VC Duckie, and this time I made sure each side had a count of 32.

Joined with JAYG granny join in VC Silver Grey.

Bordered with a modified version of #39 from Edie Eckman’s Around the Corner Crochet Borders.

It rolled a little, but once the blanket was washed it relaxed nicely.
