Notes

I’m so happy to be able to testknit this beautiful sweater for dear Teti!

I changed my mind a couple of times about the contrast colors. I do not want them to be too flashy, but the colors I picked first turned out to be of too low contrast. Than I found this set of minis in my stash smiley

For the colorwork (6 contrast colors) I will use a miniset of 5 colors I bought at the K2P2 festival from GewoonJans. The 6th contrast color is some dark green from Biches et Buches.

Neckline
The neckband is made with two strands hold together folded double. I really like the transition between two strands to one strand.

Yoke
The yoke is made with one strand of the main color, after the colorwork you continue with two strands.
I really like the flowers of the colorwork: there are also floating stitches and small cables.

Short rows: using GSR instead of W&T.

After the first band of colorwork I switched to 3,5 mm because I noticed my gauge had gotten more tight.
Adding a couple more rounds after the colorwork before splitting the body and sleeves (12 rounds).

sleeves
I do not have big (upper) arms but the sleeves seemed a bit tight. So I changed the decreased rate for the sleeves and now they are just the way I like them:
First decrease after 34 rounds.
Two decreases every 14th round.
Four decreases every 7th round.
Eight more decreases in the round before the cuff to get on the number of stitches for the cuff mentioned in the pattern.

Ok, almost there but I ran out of yarn. I thought I would have more than enough, but I had to lengthen the sweater quite a bit. I don’t want it to be super cropped.
In the end I only needed about 2 grams of the extra skein!
