Making Size S estimated for a bust circumference of 80cm
Yarn estimate light DK or sport: 710m
Recommended Gauge: 22.5 st x 31 r / 10 cm
Estimate: ~ 6 skeins of BC Garn Allino Beige
I ordered the colour way Bordeaux but it still hadn’t arrived by April 4 so I cast on with the colour beige that I had in my stash. I only had two skeins in stash so I ordered the extra 4.
My gauge: 21.5 st / 10 cm on 4 mm needles.
Because of the high amount of ease (about 32 cm) I will stick with the 4 mm needles. I don’t mind having less ease than expected.
When finishing the shoulder increases I realised I knitted one row of increases too many and forgot an increase at the very start of the top, on one shoulder.
So I decided to only decrease one shoulder stitch on the shoulder that had too extra stitches. In the end I have two extra stitches, one in the front of the top and one in the back. Because my gauge was a little off and the recommended ease is high, i hope it won’t be a problem.
I knitted the body until it measured 49cm down from the center of the back of the neckline.
I made the suggested ribbing that I had never done before, and tried the crochet bind off.
