A baby blanket for our first baby.

This is based on a design I’ve seen in a few high street stores. The patterns for the panels are taken from my collection of Vogue stictionaries.

The pattern can be summarised as follows;

• 3 x 5 panels. Each panel is 38 * 56 stitches.

• Each panel surrounded by one row and column of knit stitches.

• Each panel then surrounded by six stitches of k2-p2 basket weave stitch.

• Blanket then surrounded by one row and column of knit stitches.

• Finally there are 17 rows of garter stitch at the top and bottom and 12 stitches at each side.
