I wasn’t overwhelmed by the pattern. I used the stationary jogless stripe technique to make sure that there wasn’t an ugly join at colour changes.

I really, really struggled to start the sleeves and every time I tried I kept leaving a hole. Eventually I picked up a couple of stitches under the arm and that helped a lot. To make the long sleeves I decreased before and after the start of round every other blue row until there were 32 stitches remaining. I then continued until the sleeves were 20cm long.
