Notes

This yarn came from my New Zealand Fibre Swap parcel. The sock pattern is intriguing and I like a challenge! ‘In a blender“ comes from me seeing someone chop veges in a blender last weekend - greens, yellows etc all whirling round - just like the heels of the socks!

Hiya Hiya needles.

Have to finish my Wellenbaktus first, though.

I’m going to try knitting both socks on one circular needle at the same time. Wish me luck!

Toes up: two socks, one circular, two balls of yarn. I corralled the yarn in a small size snaplock bag with a bottom corner cut off for each (centre pull) ball of yarn - so far this is working like a charm! Magic loop, how I love you!

the socks have had a name change after being taken with me on a trip to the Kahurangi Hut in Westland - four rivers from the end of the road! First two by 4WD, second two by foot. A bit of a negotiation with the tide, and we got there, and back! There were a few scary moments, and a night out (in tents, of course) on a hillside when we were to late to catch the tide for the last crossing.

And I’m STILL not finished sock #1!
