Do short rows in groups of 5 stitches so the back wedge is slightly longer than specified in pattern.

I did cast on bottom up last night-but I cast on 100 stitches less than I needed

…and my third try I cast on with the wrong needle

4th try correct number of stitches on the correct needle. Cast on between sizes 150 stitches with a provisional cast on. Knit 3 rows in main color then started colorwork chart C

My colorwork on US 8s pulls in more than plain stockinette on US 5s. This can’t be normal right??

Knitting the smallest size with this gauge is still turning out bigger than intended.

My tension on the leaf motif looks way worse than the other motif. Maybe because the colors aren’t used in near 1:1 ratios?

The leaf motif doesn’t look too bad on camera but I don’t love it in real life. The swatch of this motif that I did at 24 st/4” looks so much nicer. I’m going to rip out and redo this section of colorwork on smaller needles and more stitches.

Sort of following the bottom up directions from the Danish version of the pattern for the shoulders, except I’m knitting each shoulder piece separately so that it’s perfectly mirrored

Picking up neckline stitches on US4. Picked up 2/3 of the vertical edge stitches.

I think I should have reduced a few rows on the back. I’m going forward with the sleeve just to see how it turns out but there’s a decent chance I rip all the way back and either remove back rows or add a few on the front shoulders.

Turns out my front left was actually 4 rows shorter than the back. Front right was fine so that’s fixed now.

Picked up 2/3 rows on stockinette and 3/4 rows of colorwork for the sleeve

Soooo much happier with the sleeve now that I fixed the shoulder and am doing the smallest size. I would really love to finish this before I leave for Europe in a week but we’ll see! 1.5ish arms, neckline and body ribbing left.
