Made for Katie and Michael’s wedding gift.

Center square knit while waiting for a John Scalzi book signing to begin.

Am adding an additional square for a total of 13 plus border, to make it a little larger.

Adding the 13th square caused me to run out of the goldenrod yarn; I would have needed an extra 1/2 skein, for a total of 8.5. Since I couldn’t find the same dye lot, I purchased two skeins and knit the last triangle out of the new dye lot.

I wove in the starting end as I knit, whenever I started a new triangle. I also used the wrap and turn short row method rather than the one described in the pattern.

The final size was wider than my full-sized guest room bed.

I quite enjoyed making this, even though it seemed like it took forever. I will make one for myself sometime in the future,
