Stretches a bit more than I thought it would, but it could be the yarn I used which is 50% cotton and 50% acrylic. I modified the top to have a single drawstring weave through the last row so when you grab the handle the bag cinches closed. Took a bit longer than I thought it would take (2-3 hours) but I think I will make another! Great for stores like trader Joes where produce is sold by number purchased, not by weight.
