The original pattern is a cropped cardigan with elbow-length sleeves. In my size such a short garment would look as if I had outgrown it, so I lengthened the body as well as the sleeves.

It took some time to get the shape right with DesignaKnit. This program also helped me to modify the lace pattern for the knitting machine.

As the garment pieces are considerably longer in my version, the lace pattern needed to be extended, too. I copied the center part, inserted and offset it laterally by half a repeat to get a pleasing result.
