I eliminated the garter stitch section, simply using this pattern as a base for a stockinette, long-sleeve, raglan, children’s sweater.
I picked up and knit a row around the chest, near the end of the raglan increases, and knit a ruffle in the same yarn.
Unfortunately I didn’t take a close look at the skeins before starting, and didn’t notice how different they were. In hindsight I should have alternated skeins to break up the odd color pooling.
On the plus side, I had enough yarn to whip up a mini version for a Jellycat stuffy.
