Wow. Like many who’ve done this project, my first attempts at this glove came out frighteningly small, even with using larger needles initially.

On my fourth or fifth glove attempt, I came up with some winning mods that made these gloves stretchy and wearable for an adult.

-cast on 45 stitches and added another scallop repeat
-used size 3 needles for ribbing and stockinette, and size 4 needles for stranded colorwork (the extra round of scallop made the fit a little big)
-k1p2 ribbing
-added thumb gusset: after 4 rounds of final color, increased every other row up to 13 stitches + 3 backwards loop cast on stitches
-added ribbing at the top to match the bottom and pull in the stitches around the hand (I haven’t had much luck with a stretchy bind-off yet)

Anyway. I am finally very satisfied with the result, despite being having to knit it so many times! Just note that making to the pattern specs may leave you with some fit problems.
