My man’s is 6’5” and therefore has a pretty bug skull. So using the notes of a few people, and modifying it more so to account for my tight knitting, I cast on 112 stitches. Using tosh DK & 80/10/10 together for an uneven marled effect!

-I used size 5 needles to do Ysolda’s 2x2 tubular cast-on (tubular to me always looks way too loose, hence the small needles)
-knitted with size 7 for the first 3.5 inches of the brim to give it a snug fit
-switched to size 9 for the rest of the hat

Finished Christmas morning while my boyfriend slept! bwahaha.
