I decided to use an i-cord cast-on to make the edges tidier, and to match the straps. For the i-cord on the edges, it’s naturally much tighter than the brioche, so I used a size 9 before dropping down to a 6 for the brioche.

This took me a lot longer than it should have. Number one, because I hadn’t done brioche in a while, so it took me a little bit to get back into it. And number two, because I made a mistake with the left decreases for a few decrease rounds, then didn’t notice it for about two inches. The mistake wasn’t easily fixable, so I was forced to frog half of it.
