Notes

Eliminating the stockinette portion at the bottom, and skipping straight from the ribbing to the chevron portion. Perhaps making up for the length loss by adding more of the main gansey pattern…we’ll see how far my yarn gets! :)

Using sizes 9 & 10 needles because LUFT is a light bulky weight, and making the chart much smaller (88 st on either side, 176 st total) to account for the gauge change.

Picked back up to finish in time for Christmas! Using the neckline directions from the Elliott pattern since I modified this pattern for bulky yarn / size US 10 needles.

12-10-2018

neckline:
knit to middle diamond section, turn work and bind off 3 st on WS row. Next WS BO 2 st. Next WS row BO 1 st, and bind off 1 st every WS row until you reach 1 st before cable column. Put stitches on hold and mirror the other shoulder, but bind off on RS rows.
4 German short rows to curve with neckline, starting at seed stitch column on the row where the diamond is at its widest.
