About once a month I get a request from someone new to share this pattern, because WATG discontinued the pattern or whatever. That is copyright infringment, so no, I will not give a pattern (that I paid for) to someone else for free. Also, I no longer have the pattern because it was a tiny slip of paper, and I made this years ago / have moved across country / was burgled while moving and I no longer even have the vest. PLEASE, no more requests to send you the pattern.

Holding three strands together to make a thick structured vest. I loved the simple details on the Wool and the Gang pattern, bought the Lil Joe kit, then decided to go for a soft chainmail look after spotting the Tiara yarn whilst buying some yarn for another project :)

My 12 months of tops item for June. (Formerly 12 months of sweaters, but considering that I’ve now made a poncho and a thick vest, I guess I had to rename!)

Mods:
-knitted front & back seamlessly for about 4 inches, then opened for armpit
-joined at shoulders using Kitchener stitch for seamless look
-Added some shaping, because boxy or one-size-fits-all doesn’t usually work on busty ladies. Increased a little on the shoulders of the back, and a lot to the bust on the front pieces. Gave me more to work with for the fold-over shoulders.
