I edited the pattern to have more braided sections- 3 at the wrist instead of 2, and added another at the top of the mitt and thumb! I really like it this way and it will make a great simple colorwork present :)

Used size 3 needles at the bottom for one inch, then switched to size 2 needles for the rest of the mitt.

I didn’t have time to block them, unfortunately, since I needed to send them off in order to reach their recipient by Christmas Eve, so the stitches aren’t as flat as they could be.
