Playing around with Lucy’s pattern to make a baby blanket for a dear friend’s new baby coming soon.

Worked through the first skein of Mosaic and completed 18 hexagon centers.

2/10 - I got a lot further on this over the past two days. I’ve nearly completed the construction of the hexagons and creation of the body of the blanket. I have about 15 left to finish and join and then I’ll just have to decide what to do to border it. I’ve used nearly three skeins of Vanna’s Choice Baby in Pink Poodle to surround the centers of the hex’s that were made with the Mosaic. I might use another color on the border, possibly Pea Green.

Nearing the finish with the motifs… Then on to the very simple border. Will gladly make this again.

2/11 using Lucy’s bobble border around so far. I put two sc between each, and it ended up a little ruffled, but I’m okay with that. May add a row or two of sc beyond to stabilize.

2/12 I added one row of sc beyond the bobbles. More photos after I wash, that may help remove some of the ruffle, too.

Total yarn usage of VC pink: three skeins to attach the hexagons and another skein to do the bobble border.

I also used 3/4 of a skein of Bernat Waverly in Greek sea for the hdc and sc rounds which border the bobble round.
