Gauge (stockinette, some improvised pattern):
10X10 cm=18 sts X 27 rows (unfelted)

rearranging sts for 2X2 ribbing: i didn’t do it as in the pattern. I did it like this:
1. slip 1 from L to R needle, pick the next 2 sts (a P and a K) as if to k2tog, lift them onto R needle, insert the L needle into both sts from the back and lift them back onto the L needle: the order of the sts have now been reversed and the sts can be slipped purlwise onto the R needle, slip next 2 sts purlwise. repeat from * to * etc.
