Personally aren’t a fan of making hat bands like the one in the pattern so I changed it a little. Did a ‘Double Crochet Chainless Foundation’ of 70 stitches with a 5mm hook in the round, then 5 rounds of FPDC, BPDC before following the rest of the instructions with a 5.5mm hook!
