The red is more of a burgundy than a mauve, which I would call a lighter purple-y color but this was an unlabeled ball I got from someone who had no clue what it was. I would have normally used regular sock yarn, but I have very few solids on hand and all my yarn shops are closed til Tuesday, so there we are.
I like the soft feel of the Woolike, and I may make these again after my Knit Picks order arrives. lol

Started this on Sunday evening, have to say I’ve not done Fair isle in a very long time and it shows. I am getting faster tho, but I still need to watch the float tension. Main check pattern is the denim blue and white, with the burgundy accents and cuff/toe.
Stopped for the evening at the start of the third repeat of the leg checked pattern.

I’m stopping for the night at the start of Round 4 of Chart D (gusset). Note to self: slip stitch up purl columns with really good light. Also read all the directions AND the legends on the charts.

Stopped for the evening at the start of Round 10 - Gusset is complete, and so I need another full repeat starting from the C3 line for minimums on the foot. My big fat leg isn’t going to fit this sock, BUT I am still going to try and complete this one and see if I can’t find a different cast on for the second. Sigh.

Stopped for the evening at the end of the foot. Toe is next, but have to chain down the pinstripes first, and I’m going to do that tomorrow because I’m fighting off a cold and I’m going to bed.

This head cold is killing me. Ugh.
I managed to get to just past the C3 line on the first repeat. Going to bed.

The race is on. I’m into the gusset, and I have about 24 hours to finish, block, stage, photograph, and submit! Sleep now.
