Notes

The pattern calls for P crochet hook (12 mm). Since the pattern uses a DK weight yarn and this yarn is smaller, I thought about using a N crochet hook as the stitches seemed too big with the P. However, I’m a very tight crocheter, despite however much I try to relax. This shawl was way too small with this hook so I frogged it when I was almost done and started over completely using the P 12.0 mm hook. It’s still smaller than the described size in the pattern, after blocking. I really didn’t have much time to work on this over this week as I had a lot going on, and I did most of the work in one night, over about 8 hours, really. Then I spent about 1 hour after blocking today adding the fringe. It’s super easy to do and turns out really pretty. I love the colors of this yarn and it’s really soft. I think my Mom will love this for Mother’s day. Please excuse the quality of the pictures as I needed more light (you can see my flashlight in one).
