Quick and easy 3h project for stash busting. Next time I think I’d duplicate stitch at least the black; this time I did intarsia on the nose for both black and pink. Weaving in all the intarsia ends is just as tedious as doing the duplicate stitch throughout.

Held white double (about the equivalent of super bulky whereas the pink is just bulky), making it thick and cozy on the headband. To make sure the hem wasn’t bigger, but rather nice and snug, and instead of using a smaller needle size, I cast on 4 sts fewer, then increased 4 sts evenly on the first st st row.

Made for a tall but skinny 3yo. Finished measurements 19” circ x 7” tall. Came out a little big, to measurements with no negative ease. I could have taken 4 sts out per row, 2 on either side of the head.

This was to accompany Shiloh’s replacement chunky lace sweater, using the leftover yarn. I went down a needle size from what I used on the sweater to get gauge needed for the chart width to match the head size.
