As written, this pattern produces a ginormous neck, perhaps because of the hood. My first attempt at knitting this sweater was a complete disaster because I did not want the hood. The neck was practically as wide as my nephew’s shoulders.

For this version, I completely reworked the math for the yoke based on Ann Budd’s raglan sweater formula for a more traditional sized finish. I’m not a pattern or math whiz, so it took me hours to figure it out. But I’m happy with the finished product!
